Data Architect

I am currently on the lookout for a freelance Data Architect to join a valued client of ours based in Brussels.

6 month contract with extensions

Hybrid role

Based in Brussels

Competitive daily rate

Overview

You will be part of the architecture team, where you will:

• Help design and validate application data models

You will be part of the data team, where you will:

• Support and further develop the data lake environment (currently MS Fabric Data Lake)

• Define data modelling and governance within the data lake

• Support data provisioning to data scientists via a central Lakehouse

• Support data delivery to end users via a central Data Warehouse with Power BI

Requirements

• At least 8 years of proven experience as a Data Architect in multiple projects with complex data architecture challenges

• Proven experience translating conceptual information models into logical data models

• Proven experience in defining and implementing data strategy and data architecture

• Proven experience with data lakes

• Language requirement: Native-level Dutch (CEFR Level C2)

Must-Haves

• Proven experience as a Data Architect – 8 years

• Proven experience in complex data architecture projects – 8 years

• Proven experience in data warehouse modeling (planning, design, and implementation) – 8 years • Proven experience with data (warehouse) security – 5 years
